Unfortunately, there is a great deal of confusion about carpet protectors in our industry. Whether it is an issue of being undertrained or uneducated, some carpet cleaners give out false information, and in the worst cases, misrepresent the product.
A nylon stain-resist carpet is made with 2 protective properties:
By resisting dry soil, less soil bonds to the carpet, therefore being picked up by our vacuum or cleaning. Insuring you have a sufficient amount of protector on your carpet will prevent the soil from bonding to the carpet. Once it bonds to the carpet, it acts like sandpaper on your traffic areas. Once the traffic area yarns are broken down, there is no way to bring them back to their original state.
When cleaning urine spots, there is a difference between cleaning the urine soiling and treating for odor. cleaning existing urine spots may not remove any associated odor. In fact, it could increase the odor in the air space for a temporary period of time.
Pet urine can cause permanent damage to your floors and fabrics. It can also create an unhealthy indoor environment. When urine is first deposited onto a floor or fabric, it is at an almost “neutral” state. At this time, it is easier to remove when it is fresh. Once it dries, it turns “alkaline” and becomes more difficult to remove. If left for days or weeks, depending on the fabric or floor type, it will permanently change the dye structure, therefore causing permanent staining. Even if the soluble deposits are removed, the damage to the dye structure may already be done.
*This means tha no one can guaranted complete removal of all urine spots.
When urine soaks beneath the carpet to the padding and the sub-floor beneath, the pet odor is then considered to be multi-layered. In these severe cases, the pet urine smell can affect the entire house. Our expert technicians use a sub-surface extraction method and special neutralizers to effectively eliminate pet urine and pet odor from your carpet.
We are confident that we can remove the pet odor from your carpet and upholstery. If we fail to make improvement, we do not charge you for our service.
